♥Review: Bifesta Cleansing Express Makeup Remover Sheets♥

Product Name: Bifesta Cleansing Express TIGHTENING Cleansing Sheet
Japanese Name: ビフェスタうる落ち水クレンジングメイク落としシート
Price: ~¥490
Rating: ★★★★☆

I saw this on sale at DonQui because it was a new product that they were trying to promote. Of course, other brands have a similar makeup sheet product, but I wanted to try this particular one because I usually buy the liquid version in a bottle and use it with cotton pads. I wanted to see if it would be easier/worth it compared to the price I pay for the bottle (about ¥700).

The good thing about this product is that it comes with 80 sheets, which is about 30 more than other brands like Biore. Unfortunately, it takes about 2 sheets to completely remove my makeup, because I tend to use a lot of eye makeup and those tough to remove mascara/eye liner just won't come off with one sheet. However, it really does remove makeup as well as the original liquid version so no complaints about that. Also, because it's water-based and not oil-based, there is none of that greasy feeling you get from other makeup remover products, and you could just wipe and go to sleep (I tend to wash my face with another face wash before I do, though). Each sheet is light-weight and thin, with just enough moisture so that you can wipe your face without it dripping all over the place. Also, this particular product is the 'tightening' version, so you do get a bit of it's pore-tightening effects.

With makeup (left) and after using the product (right)

As you can see, even though it took 2 sheets, my eye makeup was cleanly removed and although you can't see it, my pores felt like they tightened up and my skin felt cleaner and brighter.

On a side note, today I'm going out with my co-worker to play badminton for the first time! I'm a bit nervous because I've never played before, but it should be fun. Then, if circumstances allow, we'll be heading to downtown Tokyo to join in at an international exchange party. Excited!

♥Review: TonyMoly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar♥

Product Name: Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in #05 Juicy Peach Shade by TonyMoly (Korea)
Price: ~¥500
Rating: ★★★★★

The main reason why I decided to try this product was because of the adorable packaging... I mean, a lip gloss with bunny ears?? C'mon! That, and this particular shade of pink was exactly what I was looking for, pink but darker with a orange-ish tint.

One reason I really like this product is because it looks and feels like lip gloss, but it's in my favorite stick-form, and doesn't feel sticky like normal lip glosses, but at the same time doesn't dry out like most lip sticks. So it has the advantage of both, being a stick and having that moisture and gloss like lip glosses. I highly recommend this product to anyone, as it comes in 5-6 different pink/red colors. It also smells a bit like candy but not too sweet. which was another plus for me♥

Side-by-side comparison before and after

As you can see, my lips look more glossy and full after using this product, although it's a little hard to tell the tint because I took this pic in broad daylight. In reality it looks a little more orange/red.

♥Review: Hadanomy Aquaplacenta Esthefoam♥

Product Name: SANA Hadanomy Aquaplacenta Esthefoam (炭酸泡+プラセンタ)
Price: ¥ 1,200
Rating:  ★★★★☆

So I've been quite curious about this product, since I first saw it in drugstores about a month or two ago. It's been getting a lot of attention from skin care buffs, so I finally bought a can and tried it out.

As you can see in the picture, this product foams quite nicely and feels nice and cool on the skin. In Japanese, 炭酸 means carbonation, like 炭酸飲料 means carbonated drinks. This product does feel bubbly and foams really well.

These are some shots of the foam being applied to my face. As you can see, the coverage is great! You just massage it in for 30 seconds, then wash off with cold/warm water. You actually don't need to wet your face before using it, as it does have makeup removing effects.

After washing it off:

Not sure if you can tell, but my skin definitely felt smoother, cleaner, and brighter than before! This was after my second time using it. It also doesn't leave my face feeling super dry and peely like some other stronger products I've tried before. Also, the next morning after waking up, my skin wasn't oily at all! Overall, I highly recommend this product!

♥しまむら Haul♥

しまむら (Shimamura) has got to be one of my go-to stores for cheap yet fashionable clothing.
Seriously, this place is CHEAP. They have crazy sales every so often and here are a few things that I bought yesterday:

Monochrome Loose Tee // 500yen
As soon as I saw the price tag and the giant cross, I just had to buy it♥ The back side is longer than the front, giving it that uneven but fashionable appeal. Also, it is one of the few times I've seen a T-shirt in Japan with no grammatical/spelling errors lol.

Army Green Studs Simple Tee // 500yen
Another impulse buy that I had to get because a) I don't have nearly enough t-shirts as blouses/tops, and b) the price was amazing. The subtle accent of the studs was the perfect touch...oh and the words even though you can't see them when you wear it.

Sexy Inset Cami w/ Detachable Accessory // 500yen
Another steal for just 500yen! I was drawn to the color scheme and the fact that you could change the look by detaching the necklace. I saw a lot of potential with it so I bought it! Hopefully I can sneak my way into wearing this to work... we'll see how it goes.

Khaki Caramel Faux Double-Breasted Coat // 2900yen
This was pretty much love at first sight... I've seen many coats in my favorite 109 stores that are much cuter but none that were this affordable and cute combined! I had to get it. Of course, I will be revisiting my 109 babies and getting my hands on their fur trench coats as soon as winter hits!.. but, until then, I will be riding out autumn with this cutie

Aside from these wonderful items, I was able to buy Diamond Lashes in Glamorous Style for only 600yen, which is almost 400-500yen off the regular price, as well as this cute furry ball cell phone charm for iPhone

♥New Frames!♥

I finally bought new frames yesterday!
Not that my old frames broke or anything, and I still use them since they were a precious gift from my ex... But since I changed my hair style and color they don't really match me anymore, so I decided to buy new ones that I could wear outside since I usually only wear contacts out. Recently though, my eyes have gotten resistant to them and get dry and red easily, so wearing glasses is better for me.
These were very affordable, especially compared to prices in Hawaii.

Brand: Jins!
Model: Jins Moisture Frames in L-size // Dark Grey (they look black in the pic)
Price: Roughly ¥8,900 total with tax (Frames: ~¥3,700 // Prescription Lens Fee: ~¥4,900)

I was debating between these frames and the ones that Tsubasa Masuwaka produced, which were super cute and came in black and leopard print! ...but, they looked too casual to wear to work, and I figured I could always come back and buy them without prescription to wear as fashion frames. These made me look smarter... ahem.

Jins! is a super popular brand that many Japanese people use, and they offer a free eye exam with an easy to use 4-step system to buy prescription glasses within 30 minutes if they aren't busy, or up to 2 hours when it's busy on the weekend.

They have a full variety of frames, but only these matched me because I have a rounder face compared to most Japanese people. So, I had to get them in L-size which is probably originally for men...oh well.

♥①st Post♥

So today I decided on a whim to start blogging again
It's been about a bajillion years since I last had a blog and I'm pretty terrible at keeping them up-to-date, but I thought I would start one again since I moved to Japan
